Via Transilvanica is the long-distance trail that links Putna to Drobeta, crossing the heart of Transylvania along hundreds of kilometres of paths, villages and forests. Part of it runs right past La Hanul Cailor.
For the hikers who walk the trail, the inn is the perfect stop, a night in the cabins, a warm meal on the terrace, a campfire and the stillness that weary feet long for. When you need it, we will pick you up from the trail marker by car and bring you back, and we carry your luggage from one marker to the next, so your road feels a little lighter.
We can also arrange sections of the trail on horseback, accompanied by our instructors, for anyone who wishes to discover the hills of Uila from the saddle.
Over 1,400 km of paths link Putna to Drobeta-Turnu Severin, across ten counties and seven historical regions. La Hanul Cailor is a resting place right on the trail, in the heart of Transylvania.
